Hamilton

Josh Hamilton, by all reports, agreed to terms with the Angels yesterday. $25 million a year for five years. He joins Albert Pujols who signed a 10 year deal worth $24 million a year last season.

I'm thinking the Angels are going to have one really expensive roster for quite a while. Knowing that the Angels didn't even make the playoffs last year means that the Twins aren't the only team in baseball that throws around money poorly.

I'm really surprised that the Angels didn't try harder to keep Greinke. They need pitching more than homerun hitters. It is kind of cool though knowing that both Hamilton and Pujols could have 40 plus homeruns this season for the same team. In the era of free agency, that much power on one team is pretty rare.
