NBA

The Wolves won last night despite Kevin Love having the flu. Russian rookie guard Alexy Shved scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter. Another step in the T-wolves finding someone, ANYONE who can hit the shot late in the game when it matters.

Commissioner Stern fined San Antonio $250,000 for benching their premium players one night earlier in a nationally televised game on TNT against the champion Heat. There's a lot of discussion on sports shows and blogger sites about this fine. MOST think Stern is insane.

As I indicated yesterday, I agree with what most are saying. Eventually this type of "protecting the league at the cost of the team" mentality will become enough of an issue that owners will need to address it. San Antonio has A LOT of aging veterans. To keep them fresh throughout te season, a coach NEEDS to take time to rest them. It's best for the team, and in the long-run the LEAGUE.

The story isn't over and It's just another reason it's so hard to stomach the NBA brand of basketball...
