Twins Sign Tommy John Surgery Pitcher

Mike Pelfrey will earn a guaranteed $4 million with the Twins this year. He could gain another $1.5 million with incentives. He had Tommy John surgery last year so the Twins are willing to take a chance on him.

What I DON'T get is that they could have signed our OWN Tommy John surgery pitcher for the same amount of money a month ago but we let HIM go because we din't want to take a chnace on guy who recently had Tommy John surgery.

We KNOW Baker is good when healthy, so why would we take the same chance for the same money on a guy we DON'T know?

Just another example of the Twins not knowing what they are trying to accomplish, They are starting to look desperate. I don't like desperate.

Let's hope that Pelfrey is a risk that pays off.
