Ryan Doumit

I just came across this tidbit this morning. In early September, in a game against the White Sox in which the Twins won 18-9, Ryan Doumit did something that NO player had ever done before.

He made TWO outs while batting in the second inning during one of the Twins rally innings and had TWO hits in the fifth inning during another of the Twins big innings.

No other player has ever gotten two hits in an inning in a game in which they also made two outs in an inning. EVER.

Okay, I'll admit this isn't as cool as hitting 6 home runs in a game or pitching back-to back perfect games, but knowing that only one player has ever done this is still pretty cool.
